Frequently Asked Questions

We specialise in teaching anyone from the age of 4 to adults.

For 1:1 lessons we are able to supply a bike for most learners aged from 4 to adult. See if the option is listed during the booking process. Ideally, you will need to bring your own roadworthy bike. A full checklist will be provided at time of booking. However, depending on the location and subject to availability, you may be able to hire a bike for the lesson.

Vast majority of learners are be able to either balance or begin riding  independently in less than 2 hours. Every rider is different - some learn in a single session, while others may need top up lessons to progress. We strongly believe in nurturing a progressive and measurable learning journey and therefore have 3 levels of success where students will be awarded certificates accordingly..

Lessons are held at safe, open spaces such as parks or designated cycling areas. Meeting instructions and location details will be provided at the time of booking.

Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Cycling gloves are also recommended or any pair of gloves that doesn’t impede on the ability to use the brakes. A helmet is required for safety. Please note: no helmet - no lesson and session will be forfeited, requiring a brand new booking. For on-the-road cycling lessons, a high visibility vest will be provided.

We offer both one-to-one and group lessons. Group lessons are great for siblings or friends who want to learn together. Group lessons are 2 hours long with up to 5 participants. 1:1 lessons can be 1 or 2 hours at a time.

Yes, absolutely, we welcome children of all abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and autism. Our instructors are patient, supportive, and experienced in adapting lessons to suit each child’s individual needs. We aim to create a calm, encouraging environment where every child can learn to cycle at their own pace. If your child has specific requirements, feel free to get in touch - we're happy to discuss how we can best support them.

You can book a session here where you can view availability of all the upcoming lessons at different locations. A helpful bike checklist, the terms and safety disclaimer will be issued before you pay.

Prices are shown on the booking form based on the options chosen such as 1:1 or group lesson and if you're adding bike hire.

Yes. Parents or guardians must stay to observe. Feel free to bring a drink and snack to have on standby.

We believe the journey to learning to ride should be a fun and positive experience and at the pace of the rider. Therefore, our coach will gently encourage but never force students to do something they don’t want. We strongly believe that learning to ride or improving current skills should be a positive experience without pressure. Parents and riders will be given individual feedback to help nurture their confidence. We all learn at different paces so you will be told how to improve or offered further lessons.

In case of severe weather or heavy rain, lessons may have to be postponed to another date or time. If rain gets heavy during a lesson then we may pause to let it pass.

Once a booking has been made, it is non-refundable however you can use the credit towards enhanced riding skills as shown in level 3 or 4 of the learning levels section.

Please reach out as early as possible so your space can be offered up to someone else. You will be offered a credit voucher to book onto another available session. A maximum of one free reschedule will be offered.

Level 2 Award in Instructing Cycle Training. Actively involved in delivering Bikeability on road cycling lessons in schools. Training meets national cycling standards and The Highway Code. First Aid qualified. Safeguarding certified. DBS checked.
