• I understand that cycling involves some risk. I will follow safety instructions and participate at my own risk. Parents/guardians: I consent to my child taking part.
• Participants must be medically fit to take part.
• Pedal Perfect Cycling Lessons and its instructors are not liable for injuries, loss, or damage to persons or property.
• Photos/videos may be taken for training and social media. Opt out by informing the instructor.
• I am responsible for ensuring the bike is safe and roadworthy and a suitable size for the rider. If unsure, I will seek advice from a professional. The instructor may make minor adjustments to the cycle but will not carry out more technical adjustments/repairs. If the bicycle is deemed to be unsuitable for any reason, the instructor reserves the right to refuse the lesson and I understand I will not be due a refund or credit.
• Please remove stabilisers and pedals before the lesson but bring the pedals with you if possible to maximise learning time, although instructor can assist if needed.
• Helmets are required. They must fit properly, and be in good condition. Please avoid full face helmets.
• Parents/guardians must remain on location to observe but are not required to assist. Whilst they can be involved, it can sometimes impede the progress and the instructor will not be responsible for any disappointment or lack of progress that may arise. No refunds will be given in such situations.
• The instructor may physically support learners by placing their hands on the back, shoulders, torso, hands and feet where appropriate.
• Instructors may suspend the lesson if a child’s behaviour is deemed unsafe or puts others at risk.
• I understand people all learn at different paces and therefore, the instructor will gently encourage but never force students to do something they don’t want. Students need to be willing and open to follow guidance. Feedback will be provided so you will be told how to improve or offered further lessons.
• No refunds will be given if you choose to cancel the lesson for any reason unless 7 days notice is given.
• In case of severe weather or heavy rain, lessons may have to be postponed to another date or time. If rain gets heavy during a lesson then we may pause to let it pass. Decision will be made based on a dynamic risk assessment at the time.
• If the participant is unwell a voucher or new date will be offered which will need to be redeemed within 3 months.
